Van der Vlist was given a challenging order for delivery and assembly of a Komatsu HD785 (80 ton) rigid dump truck to France.
After the dumpbody was modified with wear plates and side extensions at the Van der Vlist workshop in Groot-Ammers, the machine was transported in parts to the quarry in France. Due to the dimensions of this machine, the project was carried out using a team of specialist drivers, engineers and project managers from Van der Vlist. The biggest parts of the cargo measured in at 8.50m long, 5.60m wide and a weight of 22 tons.
After delivery of all the parts the Van der Vlist team, together with mechanics from Komatsu France, started the assembly of the gigantic dump truck. This expert partnership allowed for the machine to be assembled in record time.
