At 85 you are not too old for a change. That has just been proven by JE Oswalt & Sons of Batesburg, South Carolina (SC), a traditional big player in the US transport industry. For the first time in the company’s long history, the heavy-duty specialist, who has been on the road in the southeastern states of the US since 1927, has turned to Goldhofer for innovative transport equipment. The company’s owner David Oswalt and his team can now handle big jobs with a THP/SL heavy-duty modular system from Goldhofer plus the necessary accessories like intermediate decks, trailers packages and gooseneck.
David Oswalt, grandson of the company’s founder Julian Earl Oswalt Sr, was so impressed by the debut of his first ten Goldhofer axle lines that he quickly placed a follow-up order. “We handle jobs for several of the world’s biggest conglomerates in the energy industry. So we obviously need the best transport equipment available on the market today; there is no room for compromise,” says David Oswalt, who sees a twin benefit from his partnership with Goldhofer. “With Goldhofer’s high-end systems, we can guarantee professional, precise, safe and fast handling of our customers’ jobs, and at the same time enhance our image as professional partners for heavy haulage and lift and rigging operations.”
The people at Goldhofer in Memmingen are also very pleased with the new partnership: “It is never too late to change over to Goldhofer and we are obviously delighted that J.E. Oswalt has taken the big step. That is a signal to the whole transport industry in North America,” says Stefan Fuchs, CEO of Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft.
