ALE has taken delivery of 240 axle lines of the new generation SCHEUERLE Self Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) in February 2016.

The vehicles have 60t capacity per line with 15” tyres, making these the world’s highest capacity SPMTs.

ALE made the decision to purchase the latest generation of trailers as part of their overall investment in their global trailer fleet. These new trailers will increase their fleet by 14,400t capacity.

The trailers also have a much higher bending moment capacity. This enables them to have a greater spread and the ability to carry an increased loading.

The new trailers have environmentally friendly power packs with EU 4 / EPA Tier 4 final exhaust emission certification.

These trailers will mainly be utilised across branches in the UK and the Netherlands.
